Privacy Policy
Sorto Privacy Policy: how we handle account information, relay-only WhatsApp message transmission, local browser storage, and operational workspace records.
1. Overview & Relay-Only Principle
Sorto ("we", "our", or "us") provides a collaborative workspace for teams operating on WhatsApp. Unlike traditional cloud CRMs, Sorto is designed around a relay-only architecture for chat messages: live WhatsApp messages are relayed between your linked WhatsApp session and your browser without being permanently stored in our cloud database.
2. Information We Collect
We collect account registration details (name, work email, workspace name, and billing metadata) and the structured operational records your team explicitly creates inside Sorto (such as tickets, tasks, bookings, payment logs, and internal notes). Recent WhatsApp chat history is cached locally in your browser for up to 30 days.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information strictly to provide, secure, and improve the Sorto workspace—including authenticating team members, routing real-time session events, enforcing role permissions (such as phone number masking), and providing customer support.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or your customers’ contact information. We use industry-standard infrastructure providers (such as Firebase/Google Cloud for authentication and workspace metadata) bound by strict confidentiality and security obligations.
5. Your Controls, Retention & Deletion
You can disconnect your linked WhatsApp session at any time from Sorto or directly from your phone. You may also clear local browser storage or request complete deletion of your workspace account and operational records by contacting support@getsorto.com.
